Have A Standard partners with urban youth group leaders who do summer camps for their students. At the end of their week-long camps, urban students are brought to Have A Standard’s facility for half a day of experiential learning activities, teambuilding exercises, and an award ceremony.
While leading students through activities that are fun and engaging, Have A Standard’s trained coaches present the Gospel. But we do not ask the students to sit down and listen to a speech. We demonstrate key concepts of the Gospel (such as Sin and Redemption) in a visible, experiential way – while the students participate in simulated “rescue missions.”
This begins the long-term relationship through which Have A Standard will reinforce Biblical standards to these urban students by continuing to have them participate in Have A Standard events.
